Travel to Drogarati Cave and observe the vaulted ceiling and elegant stalactites that give this place the feel of cathedral. Passing Sami, where Captain Corelli's Mandolin was filmed, you will end up at the Melissani Lake, an underground lake fed by subterranean channels with water running from the opposite side of the island. From there, a small boat rowed by master oarsmen will take you to a tour over the lake. The boat passes through a channel whose walls sprout eccentric-looking stalactites. The ceiling, more than 300 feet above you, combined with the light coming in from the entrance creates a spectacular and eerie effect of dancing colors.
Your next stop is Agia Efimia, a quiet little fishing village situated on the east coast of Kefalonia.(the visit to the village has a duration between 15min to 40min , depending of the cruise ship and its timing at the port of Argostoli). We continue our viits to to the magnificent Myrtos Beach where you will snap some postcard-worthy photos from the top of the hill and to the Monastery of St. Andreas, suspected to be built during the 13th century and was renovated in 1639. Our last stop is at the Divino Winery, an old family winery that has been restored as an exhibition/museum area with a wine bar, restored facilities for the production of straw wines, and the new, high-technology winery, equipped to produce quality wines with respect to the natural characteristics and special requirements of each grape variety. The 12 wines and 3 exceptional vinegar varieties produced cater to all preferences and will satisfy every palate.
