DESCRIPTION
Take the chance to discover a harmonic natural collage of pristine beaches with imposing mountains, beautiful villages with traditional character and archaeological sites with rich spiritual heritage. Your first stop will be the Acropolis of Sami, which was a powerful fortified town. The ruins of the ancient Acropolis of Sami can be found in Lapitha Mountain, over the port town of Sami. It can be reach by a series of scenic trails, which also connects a number of Roman remains. The citadel occupies the hills of ‘Palaiokastro’ and ‘Ayioi Fanentes’, whilst you can see evidence of all types of defensive architecture and masonary construction can be found due to the extensive fortification of the ancient city, dated back to the Classical and Hellenistic era (5th and 2nd century BC). From there you will continue to Antisamos, a pebbled beach, long in length and width, with waters that look green, as reflect the environment around the bay. This is the place that you will enjoy the natural beauty and swim in the turquoise waters with the marvelous surrounding of the green hills and lush vegetation. Departing Antisamos we will make a short stop at Sami town with its vast harbor and lovely buildings before heading on to the small fishing village of Agia Efimia. This charming settlement has a traditional character with the red tiled roof houses spreading around the natural bay and a number of traditional Greek tavernas, waiting for you to taste the traditional Greek cuisine. On the way out of Agia Efimia don’t miss the chance to snap some postcard-worthy photos from the top of the hill of Myrtos Bay, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world for its exotic sceneries and wild beauty.
