Your journey begins in Pinakates, a quiet village known for its unspoiled character and traditional stone architecture. Enjoy a leisurely walk through cobblestone lanes, admire historic houses that have remained largely unchanged for generations, and take in views of the surrounding landscape in a peaceful, uncrowded setting.

Continue to the nearby village of Vizitsa, renowned for its elegant archontika (traditional mansions) and harmonious architectural style. Walk through picturesque streets and appreciate the carefully preserved 18th- and 19th-century buildings set amid lush greenery. During your visit, enjoy a tasting of local honey and traditional Pelion products, offering an authentic introduction to the region’s culinary heritage.

The tour proceeds to Milies, one of Pelion’s most important cultural villages. Spend time in the shaded main square beneath centuries-old plane trees, learning about Milies’ historical role in education and regional life. A short stop at the historic Pelion Steam Train station introduces the story of the narrow-gauge railway that once connected Pelion’s mountain villages with the coast.

Conclude the excursion in Kala Nera, a seaside village on the shores of the Pagasetic Gulf. Enjoy a gentle walk along the flat waterfront promenade or relax with a coffee by the sea, taking in views across the calm waters toward Volos, before returning to the port.

Once you disembark from your cruise ship at the Port of Volos, you will see the cruise line buses will be parked directly in front of the ship. Our Avalon Travel vehicles and staff will be located to the right side as you exit the ship. 

Please look to your right and walk a short distance in that direction. Our team will be waiting there, holding Avalon Travel signs so you can easily identify them.

• Your cruise ship arrives late, causing you to miss the excursion.
• The ship changes its arrival date and rescheduling isn't possible.
• The ship skips port or the cruise is canceled.
• You cancel before the Cancellation Deadline on your confirmation voucher.

The guarantee does not apply to customers who have changed or deviated from the original itinerary of the Shore Excursion on their own. It also does not apply if the delay in returning to the ship was due to their own fault or actions.
