DESCRIPTION
A must for any wine lover, this tour , designed for small groups, follows the path of the grape from the vineyard to the cellar to the finished wine. Guests walk into the Vineyard, visit the winemaking cellar (including fermentation and barrel aging) and receive a seated educational tasting of the wines with a wine education specialist. Sarris Winery is located in the south-west part of Kefalonia, very close to Avithos beach in the area of Svoronata, 10 km from the port of Argostoli. Panos Sarris, a sommelier with considerable experience and owner of a single rocky vineyard in the grand cru area of Fagias, on the slopes of Ainos, at an altitude of nearly 800m, gave Robola all the ingredients it needed. The bright sun all year round, the rich soil (due to the famous black pine forest just above), the sea breeze coming off the coast as well as the well-drained pebble soil to absorb the warmth during the day and reflecting it at night are all factors that determine the distinctive style of this fine wine. Robola wine with a clear intense yellow color, elegant nose with delicate aromas, fruity and mineralogical taste, balanced acidity and a long aftertaste, each sip evokes the excitement and excitement of sparkling wine. Join us for an after tasting in a unique outdoor terrace with breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea. We’ll pour a variety of Reserve and winery-exclusive wines. This intimate one-hour experience includes an artisan cheese and charcuterie selection.
